This is a rare opportunity for a mid-level lawyer with experience in media litigation, broadcast content compliance, editorial law and regulatory matters to join a fast-paced newsroom where your advice will directly shape live and breaking news output.
You'll advise journalists, producers and editors on:
- Broadcast compliance & the Ofcom and IPSO Codes
- Defamation, data privacy
- Contempt, reporting restrictions & copyright
- Live and pre-publication editorial risk
Ideal candidates will have:
✔️ c. 4 years' PQE and above (indicative range only)
✔️ Media litigation, editorial, or content compliance experience
✔️ Strong commercial judgement and excellent communication skills
✔️ The ability to make clear, confident decisions under pressure
