How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The Dispute Service (TDS) is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Internal Communications Officer to join our team.


    This is an exciting opportunity for a communications professional who enjoys creating engaging content, building strong relationships across an organisation and helping colleagues feel connected to the company's purpose, strategy and achievements.


    Working closely with our CEO, Executive Team and leaders across the business, you will play a key role in delivering clear, engaging and timely communications to more than 230 colleagues across the TDS Group.


    📍 Hemel Hempstead (with occasional travel to other UK offices)

    🏠 Hybrid Working: 2 days per week in the office, 3 days from home

    💼 Full-time, Permanent

    💰 Salary: £38,000 per annum


    About us

    Established in 2003, TDS operates tenancy deposit protection schemes across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, alongside providing dispute resolution services. We also launched the New Homes Ombudsman Service in 2022.


    We are a collaborative and forward-thinking organisation with our colleagues and customers at the heart of everything we do.


    Some of the key responsibilities include:

    • Develop and deliver engaging internal communication plans and campaigns.
    • Manage and maintain the organisation's internal communications calendar.
    • Create and publish content across newsletters, intranet articles, email bulletins, presentations and office communications.
    • Support senior leaders with communication planning and messaging.
    • Translate complex information into clear, accessible and engaging communications.
    • Coordinate company-wide town halls and colleague engagement activities.
    • Use feedback and engagement data to continuously improve communications.
    • Support PR activity, media materials, events and social media campaigns where required.


    To be considered for this opportunity you must:

    • Have at least two years' experience in internal communications, corporate communications, PR, marketing, journalism or a related field.
    • Showcase excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
    • Be able to demonstrate experience creating engaging content across multiple communication channels.
    • Have strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working with senior leaders.
    • Have strong planning and project management capabilities.
