We are currently recruiting for an experienced Operations Supervisor to join a growing and professional team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with experience in industrial cleaning, hazardous waste management, environmental services, or a similar operational environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of site operations across multiple projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. Acting as the key on-site decision-maker, you will lead site teams, coordinate resources and maintain excellent client relationships throughout project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise, mentor and support site operatives, providing guidance, training and ongoing development.
* Delegate duties effectively based on team strengths and project requirements.
* Oversee the day-to-day delivery of multiple projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards.
* Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets and quality expectations.
* Act as the primary on-site contact, resolving operational challenges and making key decisions when required.
* Enforce company health and safety policies, procedures and regulations.
* Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
* Ensure the safe handling, storage and disposal of hazardous materials where applicable.
* Oversee the maintenance, condition and safe operation of company vehicles, plant and equipment.
* Coordinate with logistics and procurement teams to ensure the timely delivery of materials and supplies.
* Maintain clear communication with clients, providing updates and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
* Promote a strong safety culture across all projects and sites.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a Supervisory, Team Leader or Operations Supervisor role.
* Proven experience within industrial cleaning, hazardous waste management, environmental services, or a related industry.
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and hazardous materials handling.
* Ability to operate cleaning equipment, machinery and tools safely and effectively.
* Excellent leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Experience managing multiple projects, teams and priorities.
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
* Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
