An excellent opportunity has arisen for a trainee due to qualify in March 2027 to join the Finance team of a leading US law firm in London.
The team advises on some of the market’s most sophisticated and complex financing transactions, acting for a broad range of borrowers, sponsors, financial institutions, asset managers and alternative capital providers on UK, US and cross-border matters.
The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad finance practice, with work spanning leveraged and acquisition finance, syndicated lending, direct lending, fund finance and restructuring-related financings.
The Role
The role will involve advising on a variety of complex financing transactions, including:
- Leveraged and acquisition financings in connection with M&A transactions, leveraged buyouts and recapitalisations.
- Senior secured and syndicated credit facilities.
- Direct lending and other private credit transactions.
- Fund finance matters, including subscription, asset-backed and hybrid facilities across a range of fund structures and asset classes.
- Financings involving alternative capital providers, investment funds and asset managers.
- Distressed and restructuring-related financings.
The team works closely with colleagues across corporate, private equity, restructuring and other transactional practice areas, giving junior lawyers exposure to sophisticated, multi-jurisdictional transactions and the opportunity to develop a broad understanding of the finance market.
Experience required:
- Due to qualify in March 2027
- At least one seat in a leading Banking & Finance practice in London
- Ability to provide clear, practical advice.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong academic background with a minimum 2:1 degree.
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic.
