Electrical Estimator

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established mechanical & electrical contractor based in Kings Lynn, looking to appoint a skilled Electrical Estimator to join their growing team. This is a permanent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of high-spec commercial/Industrial projects.

The Role:

As an Electrical Estimator, you’ll be responsible for producing accurate and competitive estimates for a range of projects across the commercial sector. You'll work closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality tenders that reflect the company’s commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:

•Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical packages on commercial projects
•Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and scope documents
•Source supplier and subcontractor quotes to ensure accurate pricing
•Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options
•Support the bid process from initial enquiry to submission and handover
•Attend tender meetings and liaise with clients, consultants, and the project team

Requirements:

•Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within the commercial construction sector
•Strong understanding of electrical systems within environments such as food production sites, offices, healthcare, education, and critical infrastructure (e.g., data centres)
•Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to estimating
•Able to interpret M&E drawings and specifications with confidence
•Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Amtech, Estimation, or similar) and MS Excel
