How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Drop Forge Stamper

    £15.50 per hour | Average FTE earnings £17.50–£18.00 per hour

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Drop Forge Stamper to join a busy manufacturing environment.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for operating drop forging and stamping machinery to produce high-quality metal components to precise specifications. This is a physically demanding role suited to someone with previous experience in drop forging, forging, stamping or a similar manufacturing environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    *

    Operating drop forging and stamping machinery.

    *

    Shaping heated metal components using dies.

    *

    Ensuring products meet required quality and specification standards.

    *

    Carrying out basic machinery maintenance and reporting faults.

    *

    Following all health and safety procedures.

    *

    Working as part of a team to achieve production targets.

    *

    Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area.

    *

    Ensuring consistent levels of productivity, accuracy and quality.

    About You

    *

    Previous experience in drop forging, forging, stamping or a similar manufacturing role.

    *

    Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.

    *

    Comfortable working in a physically demanding manufacturing environment.

    *

    Good understanding of workplace health and safety.

    *

    Reliable, hardworking and punctual.

    *

    Able to work effectively as part of a team.

    *

    Willing to learn and develop within the role.

    Working Hours

    Monday to Thursday, 7:00am–4:00pm

    Additional Friday hours may be available depending on production requirements.

    Pay & Benefits

    *

    £15.50 per hour initially.

    *

    Once established as an FTE, the role moves onto piecework earnings.

    *

    Average FTE earnings of £17.50–£18.00 per hour, depending on the manufacturing unit and individual output.

    *

    Regular rate reviews as your skills and experience develop.

    *

    Skills are reviewed and rewarded with opportunities to increase earning potential.

    Additional hours available on Fridays.
