How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Head of Digital Marketing
Our client is a fast-growing ambitious business with a strong reputation for delivering high quality products to both consumers and some very well known organisations. The business has built a strong position in its market and is now at an exciting point in its journey, with ambitious plans for further growth and international expansion.

    The Role
This is a broad, hands on marketing leadership role for someone who wants to make a real difference.
The Head of Digital Marketing will take ownership of the marketing function, leading the team and setting the strategy to drive growth across the business. While digital will be at the heart of the role, this isn't about focusing on one channel. The successful candidate will understand how PPC, SEO, CRM, email, affiliate, social, PR, content, brand and partnerships all work together to attract customers and, ultimately, grow the business. They will lead the in-house marketing team, work closely with external agencies and collaborate with the UX, Content and Digital Media teams to turn ideas into results.

Most importantly, the business is looking for someone with energy, curiosity and an entrepreneurial approach. Someone who isn't afraid to ask questions, challenge the way things are done and think differently. Someone who spots an opportunity and does something about it. There is plenty of scope to test new ideas, explore new channels and try different approaches. The right person will enjoy that freedom and will be excited by the opportunity to build and improve rather than simply maintain what's already there.

    Responsibilties

Own the overall digital marketing strategy and make sure it delivers against the company's growth objectives.
Lead, support and develop the in-house marketing team.
Manage external agencies and make sure they are delivering value and results.
Oversee key channels including PPC, SEO, email, affiliate, social and PR.
Work closely with UX, Content and Digital Media to improve the customer journey, conversion and overall performance.
Look for new opportunities to reach customers, enter markets and grow revenue.
Bring fresh ideas and new thinking to the marketing strategy.
Test new channels and approaches, learn quickly and scale what works.
Use data and customer insight to understand performance and make better decisions.
Own marketing performance reporting and ensure activity is linked to commercial outcomes.
Identify opportunities to improve how the marketing function operates and where investment should be focused.
Support the company's international growth and help build the marketing capability needed for the next stage of the business.
    Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a doer as well as a thinker. They will have experience leading a marketing team and a strong understanding of performance marketing, but they won't be someone who wants to sit purely at strategy level. They will be comfortable getting into the detail, working things out and rolling up their sleeves when needed. They are likely to have:

Experience leading and developing a marketing team.
Experience working with and managing external agencies.
Strong knowledge of digital and performance marketing.
A good understanding of PPC, SEO, CRM/email, affiliate and paid social.
A broad view of marketing and an understanding of how the different channels work together.
A strong commercial instinct and a focus on delivering measurable results.
The ability to move comfortably between strategy and execution.
Confidence to challenge ideas and suggest a different approach when they see a better way.
An entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to get things moving rather than wait for perfect conditions.
Plenty of energy, enthusiasm and drive.
The ability to work well in a fast-moving business where things aren't always neatly defined.
Ultimately, this role is for someone who wants to make things happen. Someone who can look at the current marketing activity and see where there are opportunities to do more, do it better or do it differently. They will be naturally curious and commercially minded, with the confidence to try something new and the resilience to learn when something doesn't work.

For the right person, this is much more than a traditional Head of Digital Marketing role. It's an opportunity to come in, make your mark and help build what comes next
