How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Landscape Garden Designer and Project Manager Curdridge, Southampton
    £28,000–£35,000 + £10k Gross Profit Bonus + Van
    Full-Time, 40 Hours between the hours of 7.30am and 6pm.

    About the Role

    Are you a confident Landscape Garden Designer, with Project Management experience?

    Join an experienced design team within an established landscaping business, helping clients transform their garden ideas into practical, attractive projects. You’ll combine design, sales and project management skills from initial enquiry through to project completion. As a Landscape Garden Designer & Project Manager, you’ll present design solutions, prepare quotations and manage projects while building strong client relationships.

    Key Responsibilities

    Understand client requirements and develop suitable garden solutions.
    Produce detailed drawings and computer-aided designs.
    Prepare competitive quotations while maintaining profit margins.
    Convert enquiries into live projects and achieve sales targets.
    Manage site staff and oversee workmanship.
    Provide clear instructions and coordinate project activity.
    Manage health & safety, risk assessments and company procedures.
    Liaise effectively with clients, suppliers and colleagues. 
    Skills & Knowledge Required

    Experience in garden design and/or a relevant garden design qualification.
    Previous project management experience and strong time management.
    Proven sales experience with confidence presenting ideas to clients.
    Good computer skills; CAD, KeySCAPE or SketchUp experience is desirable.
    Knowledge of horticulture and/or a relevant qualification.
    Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and organisational skills.
    A positive, flexible and practical “can-do” attitude.
    Full UK driving licence and ability to reliably commute locally. 
    Package & Benefits

    £28,000–£35,000 basic salary.
    Up to £10,000 gross profit bonus for exceeding targets, paid monthly.
    20 days’ holiday plus 8 Bank Holidays.
    Company pension and on-site parking.
    Company van available during working hours as required.
    Van can be taken home after successful probation, provided you live within 15 miles of site
