How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Cost Manager - Nuclear Energy

    Shape the future of nuclear energy while building your career on a nationally significant programme.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cost Manager to join a high-performing Project Controls team within the nuclear sector. You will play a key role in delivering accurate cost information, supporting informed decisions and helping ensure successful project delivery. With strong career progression, competitive market rates and a supportive working environment, this role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Manage and analyse programme cost performance, including Earned Value Management.

    Support cost forecasting, EAC, ETC and actual cost reporting.

    Track costs against approved budgets and cost breakdown structures.

    Support budget updates, re-baselining and forecasting activities.

    Analyse change requests and ensure accurate cost coding.

    Collaborate with Commercial and Finance teams on accruals and contract costs.

    Implement and maintain effective cost management systems and reporting tools.

    Provide guidance and support on cost management processes and systems.

    QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

    Proven cost management experience on major programmes or infrastructure projects.

    Strong knowledge of cost control, forecasting and Earned Value Management.

    Experience with PRISM, EcoSys, Cobra or similar systems.

    Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

    Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

    Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant discipline.

    Nuclear, energy, engineering or infrastructure experience is desirable.

    Knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts and construction is advantageous.
