How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Role: Customer Hire Desk Administrator
    Rota: Monday – Friday – 7:30am to 4:30pm
    Salary: £29,000

    My client is a large Plant Hire company with depots across the UK. Due to their continued success, they are now looking for a skilled Customer Hire Desk Administrator to join their ever-growing team in Northampton.

    The Role of Customer Hire Desk Administrator in Brief:

    Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently on the company ERP system.
    Handling a high volume of tickets through cloud-based software, ensuring queries and requests are dealt with promptly.
    Processing off-hires and ensuring all relevant systems and records are updated correctly.
    Processing additional charges at the end of the hire period, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
    Liaising with the depot network to confirm delivery and collection ETAs.
    Producing reports as and when required by the business.
    Taking ownership of workload and prioritising tasks effectively while working as part of a wider team.
    Maintaining a high level of customer service and ensuring all administration is completed accurately and within required timescales.The Ideal Candidate for the Customer Hire Desk Administrator:
    Previous experience within the Plant Hire, Powered Access, Tool Hire or Material Handling industries.
    Good knowledge of Microsoft packages and strong general computer skills.
    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
    Ability to manage a high volume of work and prioritise tasks effectively.
    Confident using computerised systems, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
    A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Next Steps:
