The Role

As Trim Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the trimming department, ensuring production schedules are achieved safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will provide guidance, support and leadership to the trimming team while maintaining a strong focus on productivity, quality and customer satisfaction.

A typical day will include:

Coordinating daily workloads and ensuring production schedules are completed on time.
Supporting and supervising the trimming team to achieve departmental targets.
Ensuring operatives have the tools, materials and information required to complete work efficiently.
Monitoring workflow and quickly identifying and resolving production delays.
Working closely with Inspection and Production teams to ensure smooth movement of work through the business.
Maintaining accurate job sheet completion and production records.
Ensuring equipment is checked, maintained and serviced in line with company procedures.
Promoting high standards of housekeeping, health and safety and workplace organisation.
Escalating production, resource or quality issues to the Operations Manager and supporting corrective actions.
Encouraging a positive team culture and ensuring employees understand daily objectives and expectations.This Trim Supervisor position offers a fantastic opportunity to combine hands-on production knowledge with team leadership responsibilities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

We are looking for a motivated production professional with strong leadership skills and a commitment to quality.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

Previous experience supervising or leading a team within a manufacturing or production environment.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear instructions and guidance.
The ability to organise workloads and prioritise effectively.
Experience working to production schedules and deadlines.
A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
The ability to build strong working relationships across multiple departments.
A positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues to achieve shared goals.This would be an ideal opportunity for someone who has been a Team Leader, Production Supervisor or Senior Trimmer in a manufacturing environment and is looking to develop their leadership career further.
