How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    £48,000 – £50,000 | Hybrid Working | Monday to Friday | 45p Mileage | Paediatric Complex Care

Are you a Children's Nurse, Paediatric Nurse or experienced Complex Care Nurse looking to move away from shifts and into a Monday to Friday clinical leadership role?

We're looking for a Paediatric Clinical Lead to support children and young people with complex healthcare needs in their own homes across Bristol, Cheltenham and Swindon.

You don't necessarily need to already be working as a Clinical Lead. If you're an experienced nurse with strong paediatric, complex care, community, PICU or HDU experience and you're ready to take the next step, we'd be keen to speak with you.

As a Paediatric Clinical Lead, you'll manage your own clinical caseload, complete assessments and care plans, train and support care teams and ensure children receive safe, high-quality care at home.

    Package & Benefits
    • £48,000 – £50,000 per annum.
    • Hybrid working, including 1–2 days working from home per week.
    • Flexible Monday to Friday working.
    • 45p per mile mileage reimbursement for regional travel.
    • Permanent, full-time position.
    • Ongoing clinical training and professional development.
    • Supportive senior clinical team.
    • Genuine opportunities for career progression.
The RoleYou'll join a specialist provider delivering nurse-led complex care to children and young people within their own homes.
This is an autonomous community position covering Bristol, Cheltenham and Swindon, with the flexibility to work from home 1–2 days each week and the support of an experienced clinical and operational team around you.

As a Paediatric Clinical Lead, you'll:
    • Manage and clinically oversee paediatric complex care packages.
    • Complete clinical assessments, care plans, risk assessments and regular reviews.
    • Support children with needs including tracheostomy care, ventilation, neurological conditions, spinal injuries and acquired brain injuries.
    • Deliver clinical training and complete competency assessments with care teams and Registered Nurses.
    • Provide supervision, mentorship and ongoing clinical support.
    • Complete medication audits, spot checks and quality reviews.
    • Work closely with children, families and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
    • Support clinical governance, investigations and continuous quality improvement.

    About You:
    • Active NMC registration.
    • Experience working with children or young people with complex healthcare needs.
    • Relevant experience from paediatric complex care, community nursing, children's nursing, PICU, HDU or another suitable clinical environment.
    • Confidence with complex clinical interventions such as tracheostomy care and ventilation.
    • The ability to work autonomously and support the development of frontline care teams.
    • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Bristol, Cheltenham and Swindon.

Previous Clinical Lead experience is advantageous, but you don't need to already hold a Clinical Lead title.

You may currently be working as a Paediatric Nurse, Children's Nurse, Complex Care Nurse, Community Children's Nurse, Nurse Case Manager, Senior Nurse or Clinical Nurse Manager and be ready for greater autonomy and responsibility.

This is an excellent opportunity to progress into a Paediatric Clinical Lead position without moving away from the clinical work that makes a genuine difference to children and their families.

If you're interested but aren't sure whether your experience is an exact match, I'd still encourage you to get in touch. Your CV doesn't need to be fully updated to have an initial confidential conversation.

Apply today or contact Ehsan at Leaders in Care on (phone number removed) to find out more about becoming a Paediatric Clinical Lead.
