How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

General Manager, Flexible Workspace, Central London

Salary: £50,000 + commission and equity

    Hours: Full-time, onsite

We are recruiting an experienced Centre/General Manager to take full ownership of a prominent flexible workspace building.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an established workspace professional who combines strong commercial judgement with operational discipline and an exceptional approach to member experience. You will inherit a complex, fast-paced environment where confident leadership, clear accountability and the ability to drive meaningful improvements will be essential.

You will be fully accountable for the financial, operational and experiential performance of the building, leading the onsite team while working closely with Sales, Finance, Real Estate and central support functions.

This role would suit a commercially minded Community Manager, Centre Manager or General Manager who is comfortable taking ownership, making decisions and bringing structure, energy and direction to a building.

    The role

    You will:

Lead, develop and motivate the onsite community team, establishing clear expectations and a high-performance culture

Take full ownership of the building’s day-to-day operations and overall performance

Manage the building-level P&L, operating expenditure and financial performance

Work closely with the sales team to achieve monthly revenue and occupancy targets

Manage the building-level sales cycle, including tours, proposals, onboarding, renewals, pricing discussions and expansion opportunities

Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide reliable commercial forecasts

Build strong relationships with members, particularly key and strategic accounts

Proactively manage retention, renewals and potential churn

Identify and implement commercial initiatives that generate revenue and support future growth

Take ownership of the overall member experience and act as the senior escalation point for complex issues

Monitor member satisfaction and NPS, creating clear action plans to improve performance

Manage external suppliers and ensure agreed service levels and operational standards are maintained

Work with landlords, asset managers and property teams to resolve building-related matters

Support budgeting and identify opportunities to improve financial and operational efficiency

Oversee membership fee collection, late payments and pricing increases

    About you

We are looking for an experienced and resilient leader who can quickly understand a building, identify what needs to change and take responsibility for delivering results.

    You will ideally have:

Significant experience within flexible workspace, coworking, serviced offices or a closely related hospitality or property environment

Previous responsibility for the commercial and operational performance of a building or business unit

Strong knowledge of P&L management, budgets, revenue and operating expenditure

A proven track record of improving sales, occupancy, retention or customer satisfaction

Experience managing and developing a team for at least two years

The confidence to handle complex member issues and make sound commercial decisions

    Strong sales and relationship-management skills

Experience managing suppliers, landlords or other external stakeholders

Excellent communication, organisation and project-management skills

A hands-on leadership style and the ability to remain composed in a demanding environment

Experience using HubSpot or another CRM platform would be advantageous

This role offers the opportunity to make a visible impact, shape the performance of an important building and establish a strong, engaged and commercially successful community.

    What’s on offer

25 days’ annual leave plus your birthday off

    Commission structure

    Company equity package

    Company pension scheme

    Enhanced maternity leave

    Employee rewards and wellbeing platform

    Employee Assistance Programme

    Phone allowance

    Regular team and community events

Genuine opportunities for progression within a growing workspace business

If you are an experienced workspace leader who enjoys taking ownership, developing teams and improving commercial and operational performance, we would love to hear from you
