How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
    Thetford | Monday–Friday, 40 hrs/week | Rotating shifts: 06:00–14:30 / 14:00–22:30

Our client, a busy production and manufacturing site in Thetford, is seeking an electrically biased Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team. This is a hands-on role covering preventative, reactive, and predictive maintenance across a wide variety of plant and equipment, with a strong focus on electrical fault-finding.

    The Role:

Carrying out scheduled and planned maintenance to keep production machinery running reliably
Diagnosing and resolving faults across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, with particular strength on the electrical side
Responding to breakdowns quickly to minimise production downtime
Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new machinery
Keeping accurate maintenance records, fault logs, and service history
Contributing ideas toward continuous improvement and cost reduction
Working safely and in line with all health and safety requirements
Liaising closely with production teams to flag and prevent recurring issues
    What's Needed:

Proven maintenance engineering experience, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment
Strong electrical fault-finding ability, alongside solid mechanical knowledge
Exposure to hydraulic and pneumatic systems is an advantage
Comfortable working shifts, including flexibility around a rotating pattern
A practical, independent problem-solver who also works well as part of a team
Confident communicator across all levels of the business
Health and safety awareness, with relevant electrical or engineering qualifications preferred
    On Offer:

    Competitive salary DOE plus benefits
A varied, hands-on role across a broad range of machinery and systems
Ongoing training and career development opportunities
    A supportive, established engineering team
    No weekends, no nights
This is a strong opportunity for an electrically biased engineer looking for variety, stability, and room to grow within a well-run production environment.
