How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Project Manager

    Commercial Fit Out & MEP Projects

    Location: Central London (Site Based as Required)
    Salary: Competitive and Negotiable + Package (DOE)
    Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

    About the Role

    We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to join a growing and successful commercial fit-out contractor delivering high-quality workplace, CAT A, CAT B, refurbishment and MEP installation projects across Central London.

    The successful candidate will be a self-sufficient Project Manager capable of taking full ownership of projects from pre-construction, through to completion and handover. You will have a proven track record of managing fast-track commercial fit-out projects valued up to £10 million and be comfortable leading both internal teams and specialist subcontractors whilst maintaining excellent client relationships.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fit-out professional looking to join a dynamic business with a strong pipeline of work and an immediate requirement for project leadership.

    Key Responsibilities

    Lead and manage commercial fit-out and MEP projects from inception through to completion.
    Oversee all pre-construction activities including surveys, planning, procurement and PTIs.
    Manage project programmes to ensure successful delivery within budget and timescales.
    Coordinate design, construction, commissioning and handover activities.
    Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
    Ensure all projects are delivered safely and in compliance with current legislation and company procedures.
    Manage subcontractor performance, progress, quality and commercial obligations.
    Chair project meetings and provide clear reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
    Monitor project risks and implement mitigation measures where required.
    Ensure quality standards are achieved throughout the project lifecycle.
    Manage project financial performance alongside commercial teams.
    Drive programme delivery on fast-track projects within occupied and live environments.
    Oversee commissioning, snagging, practical completion and final account close-out activities.
    Essential Requirements

    Proven experience as a Project Manager within the commercial fit-out sector.
    Demonstrable experience delivering CAT A, CAT B, refurbishment and MEP-focused projects.
    Track record of successfully managing projects valued up to £10 million.
    Strong understanding of pre-construction processes and PTIs.
    Experience delivering fast-track programmes within demanding client environments.
    Excellent organisational and project planning skills.
    Strong commercial awareness and budget management capability.
    Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
    Ability to build and maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships.
    Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
    Strong knowledge of health, safety and compliance requirements within the construction industry.
    References available from previous employers and clients.
    Desired Qualifications

    CSCS Card.
    SMSTS.
    First Aid at Work.
    Relevant construction-related qualification (Degree, HNC, HND or equivalent).
    Membership of a recognised professional body (desirable).
