How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are looking for a Process Engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering team and drive improvements across processes, tooling, quality, cost and efficiency.
    This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and seeing their ideas put into practice.

    Commutable from Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield, Rugeley, Lichfield, Tamworth, Walsall, Aldridge, Cannock, Barton Under Needwood, Atherton, Minworth and Great Barr

    Duties

    * You’ll play a key part in developing and optimising manufacturing processes,

    * Driving process improvements, productivity gains and cost-saving projects

    * Developing tooling and technical strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs

    * Working closely with tool suppliers, production and engineering teams

    * Setting up and optimising tooling to achieve minimum cycle times and maximum quality

    * Supporting engineering changes and updating PFMEA documentation

    * Working cross-functionally with Quality, Maintenance and Manufacturing

    * Leading and supporting continuous improvement activities including TPM, HOSHIN, SMED and QRCI

    * Developing standard operations and supporting technical training and skills development

    * Coordinating technical teams to identify and deliver improvement opportunities

    What We're Looking For

    * A degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline (Master’s desirable)

    * Previous engineering/manufacturing experience, ideally 2–3 years within a manufacturing environment

    * Experience of process improvement and project management

    * Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills

    * Good IT skills, including MS Office and Lean Manufacturing tools
