How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Logistics Supervisor – Major Construction Project

    Location: E16
    Duration: 2 Year Project
    Rate: £20.00-£22.00 p/h, overtime and weekend available

    Romax Solutions are currently seeking a Logistics Supervisor to take full ownership of site logistics on a large and complex construction project in London. This role is suited to a confident and highly experienced professional with a proven background in managing logistics on major UK developments, including multi-storey and high-value schemes. You will play a critical role in maintaining programme, safety and efficiency across a busy site environment, working closely with the Project Manager, Site Managers and subcontractors. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a Grade A Tier 1 client on a high-profile and prestigious project in London.

    Job Purpose

    To supervise and coordinate day-to-day logistics activities on site, ensuring deliveries, materials, plant, vehicles and pedestrian movements are managed safely and efficiently. The Logistics Supervisor will support the Logistics Manager and Site Management Team in maintaining a well-organised, safe and productive working environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Supervise day-to-day site logistics operations.

    Coordinate and monitor deliveries, collections and vehicle movements.

    Manage delivery schedules and ensure vehicles arrive at the correct time and location.

    Supervise loading and unloading of materials and plant.

    Ensure materials are safely stored and distributed around site.

    Control vehicle and pedestrian movements within designated areas.

    Undertake Traffic Marshall duties and direct vehicles safely when required.

    Monitor access routes, delivery areas, storage areas and site logistics routes.

    Liaise with delivery drivers, subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.

    Ensure logistics activities are carried out in accordance with site rules, RAMS and

    health & safety requirements.

    Monitor site housekeeping and ensure access routes and working areas remain clear.

    Identify and report hazards, unsafe practices and logistical issues to the Logistics Manager or Site Manager.

    Assist with the implementation and monitoring of site logistics and traffic management plans.

    Maintain accurate delivery records, site logs and relevant documentation.

    Support site inductions and communicate logistics arrangements to contractors and visitors.

    Assist with coordinating plant, equipment and material movements.

    Attend site coordination and logistics meetings as required.

    Supervise logistics operatives and provide clear instructions regarding daily activities.

    Support the Logistics Manager with planning and resolving day-to-day logistical issues.

    Undertake Fire Marshal/Fire Warden duties and assist with emergency procedures.

    Provide First Aid assistance within the limits of training when required.

    Promote a positive health and safety culture across the site.

    Skills & Experience

    * Previous experience in a construction logistics, supervisory or site-based role.

    * Good understanding of construction site logistics and traffic management.

    * Strong awareness of health & safety requirements.

    * Good communication and leadership skills.

    * Ability to supervise operatives, contractors and delivery drivers.

    * Well organised with good attention to detail.

    * Ability to prioritise tasks and respond effectively to changing site requirements.

    * Proactive approach to identifying and resolving site logistics issues.
