Working closely with residents, contractors, local authorities, and partner agencies, you will ensure high standards of housing management and customer service are delivered across the co-operative.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a designated patch of properties and act as the first point of contact for residents.
* Conduct tenancy sign-ups, reviews, audits, and end-of-tenancy procedures.
* Investigate tenancy breaches and take appropriate enforcement action where required.
* Manage rent arrears cases, agree repayment plans, and support income recovery.
* Investigate and resolve anti-social behaviour and neighbour disputes.
* Work with support agencies to sustain tenancies and safeguard vulnerable residents.
* Carry out estate inspections and report communal repairs or environmental issues.
* Monitor property and estate standards to ensure a safe and pleasant living environment.
* Promote resident engagement and support community initiatives.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant policies and legislation.
Person Specification
Essential:
* Experience in a housing management, housing officer, or similar role.
* Knowledge of tenancy management, rent arrears, and anti-social behaviour casework.
* Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise competing demands.
* Experience conducting home visits and working directly with residents.
* Good IT skills and experience working with Northgate.
Desirable:
* Experience working within a housing co-operative, housing association, or social housing environment.
* Knowledge of housing legislation and tenancy enforcement processes.
* CIH qualification.
