How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you a CNC Turner with experience setting, operating and programming CNC machinery? A growing specialist engineering and sub-contract manufacturing business is looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join its team on a permanent basis. You’ll work with a range of components and assemblies, using CNC turning machinery to produce high-quality, precision parts. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC Turner looking for a long-term role with opportunities for development and overtime.

    Key Responsibilities

    Program, set and operate CNC lathes and 3- and 4-axis machinery
    Turn, bore, thread, form and face metal and plastic materials
    Use CNC tooling and precision measurement equipment
    Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents
    Handle and protect manufactured components, fabricated parts and assemblies
    Identify and resolve machining and production issues
    Maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail
    Support continual improvement and changing production requirements
    Skills & Knowledge Required

    Previous experience working as a CNC Turner
    Strong CNC machinery and tooling skills
    Experience using precision measurement equipment
    Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
    Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
    Strong problem-solving and communication skills
    Self-motivated with a drive for results and improvement
    Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements
