How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    CNC Miller Programmer

    Location:  Near Milton Keynes
    Hours: Monday to Friday 7.30am – 4pm (overtime available)

    Salary: £38000 - £45000

Based near Milton Keynes, we pride ourselves on delivering precision-machined parts with outstanding service, reliability, and flexibility. We are now looking for a skilled CNC Miller Programmer to join our growing team and contribute to our continued success.

    Role Overview

    The CNC Miller Programmer will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating Vertical & Horizontal Machining Centres to produce precision-engineered components to tight tolerances. You will work across our wide range ofmachines, programming with Fanuc and similar controls.

    Key Responsibilities

    Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
    Select appropriate tooling and machining strategies for efficient production.
    Produce precision components to tight tolerances and within quality standards.
    Carry out first-off inspections using precision measuring equipment.
    Optimise CNC programs and setups to improve cycle times and reduce waste.
    Work collaboratively with production staff to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
    Maintain machines, tooling, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
    Skills & Experience Required

    Proven experience programming and setting machining centres
    Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls (or similar).
    Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
    Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments.
    Experience producing small to medium batch quantities.
    High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
    Able to work independently and as part of a team.

    Desirable

    Knowledge of CAD/CAM software (Edgecam, Fusion 360, etc.).
    Understanding of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
