Ready to take the next step in your lift career?
I'm recruiting for a well-established and growing lift business that is looking for someone to take ownership of its Service Department and help shape the next stage of its growth.
This could be the ideal opportunity if you're already a Lift Service Manager looking for a fresh challenge - or an experienced Lift Engineer who has been in the industry for several years and feels ready to step into management.
You don't necessarily need to have spent years with the title of "Service Manager".
What matters is that you understand the lift industry, know what good service looks like, can communicate confidently with engineers and customers, and are ready to take the next step in your career.
The Role
You'll have genuine responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Service Department, including:
Leading and supporting Lift Service Engineers and Service Coordinators
Planning and overseeing PPM, reactive callouts and breakdowns
Managing lift shutdowns and making sure issues are followed through to resolution
Monitoring engineer workloads, performance and service KPIs
Supporting engineers with technical, operational and safety requirements
Building strong relationships with customers and dealing confidently with service issues
Identifying ways to improve processes, service delivery and customer experience
Helping develop the service team as the business continues to grow
The Person
This role would suit someone who has solid experience within the lift industry and is ready to progress.
You could be:
An experienced Lift Service Manager looking for more autonomy and the opportunity to make a real impact.
A Senior Lift Engineer or experienced Lift Engineer who has been working in the industry for a number of years and is ready to move away from being purely field-based and take their first step into management.
You'll ideally have:
Strong knowledge of lift service, maintenance and breakdowns
Experience dealing with customers and engineers
Good organisational and communication skills
The ability to prioritise workloads and solve problems
A practical understanding of health & safety and engineering standards
The confidence and maturity to lead a teamMost importantly, you'll need to understand the lift industry and genuinely want to progress into a leadership role.
Why Make the Move?
This isn't about stepping into a rigid corporate structure and simply managing a spreadsheet.
You'll be joining a business that is actively growing and developing its Service Department, giving you the opportunity to put your experience to use, introduce better ways of working and have a visible impact on engineers, customers and the wider business.
For the right Lift Engineer, this could be the career step that takes you from the tools and into management.
For an existing Service Manager, it's an opportunity to have real ownership and influence within a growing company.
If you're an experienced Lift Engineer or Service Manager and feel you're ready for the next step, I'd like to speak with you.
