What could your placement look like?

Primary:
Cover classes across KS1 and KS2, delivering planned learning and maintaining established classroom routines.

Secondary:
Teach your specialist subject or provide general cover across different year groups.

SEN:
Work within specialist provisions supporting pupils with a range of additional learning needs, where your previous SEN experience can be put to use.

The priority is allocating you to a role that directly matches your teaching qualification, classroom experience and preferred type of work.

Your responsibilities

Depending on the school and placement, you could be expected to:

Deliver lessons in accordance with school plans
Provide general classroom supervision and teaching
Teach your specialist subject where applicable
Adapt learning activities to pupil needs
Manage behaviour consistently
Establish positive classroom relationships
Maintain safeguarding standards
Provide feedback to school staff when required

Essential experience

We are looking for experienced educators with:

QTS or an appropriate teaching qualification/experience
Recent UK classroom experience
Good behaviour management skills
Strong communication and organisation
A commitment to safeguarding
Flexibility to work across different educational environmentsPrimary Teachers, Secondary Subject Specialists and teachers with SEN experience are all encouraged to register.
