How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join a leading fit-out contractor on a £1 million commercial fit-out project in Central London. This Site Manager role offers a 12-week freelance contract, working exclusively on night shifts and taking responsibility for the safe and successful delivery of the project within a live city environment.

    About the Role of Site Manager

    As Site Manager, you will oversee the delivery of a £1m commercial fit-out scheme during night operations in Central London. Working closely with the Project Manager and subcontractors, you will ensure works are delivered safely, to programme, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong communication with the day team.

    This position is ideal for someone with proven commercial fit-out experience who is comfortable managing projects during out-of-hours working and coordinating multiple trades in a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities for Site Manager

    Managing all night shift operations across the commercial fit-out project
    * Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are completed in line with programme requirements
    * Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and quality throughout the shift
    * Conducting site inspections and quality checks on completed works
    * Managing site logistics, deliveries, and access requirements during night operations
    * Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with drawings and specifications
    * Producing shift reports and handover information for the day team
    * Liaising with the Project Manager to ensure seamless project deliveryRequirements for Site Manager

    Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial fit-out projects
    * Previous experience managing night shift operations
    * Strong knowledge of CAT A and CAT B fit-out projects
    * SMSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid qualification required
    * Excellent organisational and communication skills
    * Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain programme targets
