How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Site Manager - The Company

    An established construction business is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to support the successful delivery of projects across the region. Their team has built a strong reputation for delivering quality construction work while maintaining high standards of health and safety, programme management and client service.

    This Site Manager opportunity would suit someone who is comfortable taking responsibility for day-to-day site operations and coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.

    Site Manager - The Role

    As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of construction projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and to the required standard.

    Typical duties will include:

    Managing subcontractors and site personnel.

    Monitoring project programmes and progress.

    Coordinating labour, materials and deliveries.

    Maintaining high health and safety standards.

    Carrying out site inductions and toolbox talks.

    Managing quality control and resolving site issues.

    Liaising with clients, consultants and the wider project team.

    Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress to senior management.

    The Site Manager will be expected to take ownership of their projects and identify potential programme, quality or health and safety issues before they affect delivery.

    Site Manager - Requirements

    The successful Site Manager will have previous experience managing construction projects from site level and a strong understanding of construction processes, subcontractor management and health and safety requirements.

    Applicants should ideally hold:

    SMSTS.

    A suitable CSCS Manager card.

    First Aid at Work.

    NVQ Level 6 or 7 in Construction Site Management, or a comparable construction qualification.

    Strong communication and organisational skills.

    A full UK driving licence.

    Temporary Works Coordinator or similar additional qualifications would be beneficial.

    Site Manager - Salary & Benefits

    The position offers a salary from £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, together with a competitive employment package.
