Goods In Assistant

About the Role

We are looking for a Goods In Operative to join our clients friendly team. You will be responsible for receiving deliveries, checking incoming goods, updating stock records, and ensuring materials are stored correctly and safely. This is a great opportunity for someone with warehouse experience, looking to gain more experience within Goods In. Forklift experience is preferred, my client will open to someone who is enthusiastic and has the confidence to learn, as materials can go from small boxes to structural steel. 
 
Hours | 8:00am to 4:00pm | Monday to Friday | Total hours 37.50 per week. 
 
Duties Include:

Receive and book in deliveries from suppliers UK and Europe.
Check goods against delivery notes and purchase orders.
Unload, sort and organise stock within the warehouse.
Update stock information on the company system.
Carry out basic quality checks on incoming goods.
Move stock between warehouse locations and ensure accurate stock records.
Help manage non-conforming goods and arrange returns when required.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Support other areas when needed, with full training given. What We're Looking For:

Previous warehouse or goods-in experience - essential.
Counterbalance Forklift licence - desirable, as in-house will be given
Good attention to detail and accuracy - essential.
Basic IT skills and confidence using stock management systems - essential. What's on Offer?
