How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    * Leading cost and commercial management across high-value projects

    * Preparing cost plans, budgets and financial forecasts

    * Managing procurement and tender processes

    * Contract administration and commercial reporting

    * Valuations, variations, payments and final accounts

    * Identifying and managing commercial risks

    * Providing strategic commercial advice to clients

    * Building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships

    * Supporting, developing and mentoring junior Quantity Surveyors

    * Providing guidance and technical support to junior team members, helping to develop their commercial and professional skills

    * Taking an active role in the wider development of the Quantity Surveying team

    About You

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong consultancy background, together with experience delivering high-value construction projects.

    You will have:

    * Proven experience within a Quantity Surveying consultancy

    * MRICS qualification – essential

    * Experience across commercial and/or super prime residential projects

    * Strong pre- and post-contract experience

    * Excellent knowledge of construction contracts and cost management

    * Strong client-facing and communication skills

    * The ability to take ownership of projects and work autonomously

    * A commercially driven and proactive approach

    * Experience supporting, coaching or mentoring junior Quantity Surveyors

    * A desire to contribute to the continued growth and development of the wider team

    The Opportunity

This is a chance to join a well-established and highly regarded consultancy with a strong presence in the Central London market.

You will have the opportunity to work on prestigious, high-value commercial and super prime residential schemes, alongside experienced professionals and high-profile clients, with genuine scope for long-term career progression.

The role also offers the opportunity to take on greater responsibility within the team, helping to mentor and develop junior Quantity Surveyors while continuing to build your own career within the consultancy
