How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Resident Liaison Officer

    This is a mobile role, with travel across Yorkshire and other regional locations as required.
    Location: Multiple locations across the North of England
    Contract: Temporary, 6 months
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
    Start: Immediate

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Resident Liaison Officer to join a busy social housing refurbishment programme on a six-month temporary contract (initially).

    The role will involve extensive travel across locations including North Yorkshire, Leeds, Sheffield, Hull, Rotherham, Northumberland and Liverpool. Applicants must therefore be comfortable travelling regularly and have access to their own vehicle.

    Key Responsibilities

    Proactively following up on properties where access has not been gained and arranging retrofit survey appointments
    Acting as the main point of contact for residents throughout the works
    Clearly communicating the nature, scope and timescales of planned works
    Building positive relationships with residents and local communities
    Coordinating access arrangements to help ensure works remain on schedule
    Handling resident queries, concerns and sensitive situations professionally and empathetically
    Resolving access or resident-related issues promptly, escalating where necessary
    Maintaining accurate records of communications, appointments and issue resolutions
    Supporting wider resident and community engagement activities

    About You

    To be considered, you will need:

    Previous experience in a similar customer or resident-facing role
    The ability to manage sensitive or challenging situations calmly
    Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
    A resilient, organised and proactive approach
    Good Microsoft Office skills
    A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
    The flexibility to travel extensively across the North of EnglandPrevious experience as a Resident Liaison Officer, Customer Liaison Officer or Tenant Liaison Officer within social housing, planned maintenance, retrofit or property services would be highly desirable.

    This is an immediate requirement, and applicants must be available to interview promptly and commit to the full six-month contract.
