Carpenter required for a leading Housing Association in Bedfordshire. This is a fantastic permanent opportunity for an experienced Carpenter looking for long-term stability, excellent benefits and the opportunity to work across a well-established social housing contract.
The Role
As a Carpenter working across Bedfordshire, you'll be responsible for carrying out plumbing repairs and maintenance across occupied and void social housing properties.
Key responsibilities include:
Carrying out responsive Carpenter repairs and maintenance across social housing properties in Bedfordshire.
Responding to repair orders in tenants’ homes and communal areas.
Repairing and replacing doors, frames, locks, architraves, skirting boards and flooring.
Carrying out repairs to kitchens, cupboards, worktops and units.
Repairing or replacing wooden window components and making good around frames.
Repairing staircases, handrails, banisters and timber structures.
Boarding up damaged doors/windows following break-ins, vandalism or emergencies.
Skills & Qualifications
To be successful in this Carpenter role in Bedfordshire, you'll need:
Proven experience as a Carpenter within domestic repairs and maintenance.
Social Housing experience is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of responsive repairs and maintenance.
Full UK Driving Licence and the ability to travel across Bedfordshire.
