How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Resident Liaison Officer

    This is a mobile role covering Leeds, Sheffield, Doncaster, Scarborough and wider North Yorkshire. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
    Location: Sheffield and surrounding areas
    Contract: Temporary, ongoing for a minimum of 6 to 12 months
    Hours: Full-time
    Start: Immediate

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Resident Liaison Officer to join a busy property services team on a long-term temporary contract.

    You will act as the main point of contact between residents and operational teams, ensuring residents are kept fully informed throughout planned maintenance and property improvement works.

    Key Responsibilities

    Acting as the main point of contact for residents throughout the works
    Keeping residents informed of project timescales, appointments and any changes
    Visiting residents in their homes and providing clear, sensitive communication
    Supporting residents with queries, concerns and complaints
    Liaising closely with site teams, contractors and internal departments
    Maintaining accurate records of resident communication and feedback
    Identifying vulnerable residents and ensuring any additional support requirements are communicated
    Helping to minimise disruption and deliver a positive experience for residents

    About You

    The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience as a Resident Liaison Officer, Customer Liaison Officer or Tenant Liaison Officer, preferably within social housing, planned maintenance or property services.

    You will also need:

    Excellent communication and customer service skills
    A confident and professional approach when dealing with residents
    Strong organisation and administration skills
    The ability to manage sensitive situations calmly and effectively
    A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicleThis is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term temporary position with the potential to continue for at least 6 to 12 months.
