Are you an experienced Assembly Operative or Production Operative looking for a new opportunity? Do you have experience working with wood, hand tools or power tools?
We are currently recruiting for an Assembly Operative to join a well-established business based in Dudley.
The Role
Working as part of the production team, you will be responsible for assembling and finishing products to a high standard. The role would suit someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and has experience within assembly, woodworking or general production.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assembling products and components accurately
Using a range of hand tools and power tools
Measuring, cutting and fitting components
Following drawings, instructions and specifications
Checking completed work for quality and accuracy
Carrying out preparation, finishing and general workshop duties
Maintaining a clean and organised working area
Working to production deadlines and quality standards
Supporting the wider production team when required
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within an assembly, manufacturing, production or workshop environment.
You should be:
Practical and hands-on
Confident using hand tools and power tools
Comfortable working with wood or timber
Able to follow instructions and work accurately
Quality-conscious with good attention to detail
Reliable and punctual
Comfortable working as part of a team
Physically capable of carrying out a hands-on production role
Previous woodworking, furniture assembly or manufacturing experience would be advantageous, although candidates with strong practical skills from other backgrounds will also be considered.
