How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Technical Business Analyst / Product Owner

    12-Month Fixed-Term Contract | Up to £80,000 (+ 20% Bonus)

Hybrid: London - 1x month, Waterloo

We're looking for a Technical Business Analyst to sit at the intersection of business and architecture, someone who can translate what the business needs into what the systems actually have to do, across a genuinely complex technical Tier 1 Retail estate.

This isn't a box-ticking BA role bolted onto the end of a project.

You'll be in the room early, shaping solutions before delivery even starts, and helping the wider portfolio avoid expensive surprises further down the line.

It's a role for someone who's comfortable in the grey areas, where the requirements aren't fully formed, the systems don't quite talk to each other yet, and the right answer isn't obvious.

You'll bring clarity to that, not wait for someone else to.

    What You'll Be Doing

Mapping the full product and order lifecycle end to end, order management, fulfilment, the lot.
Translating business requirements into concrete technical impact across a multi-system estate, so engineering and architecture teams aren't left guessing
Getting ahead of problems: supporting early estimation and flagging technical risk while there's still time to do something about it
Working fluently across both worlds, conceptually sharp enough to challenge an integration approach, without needing to be the one writing the code
Holding your nerve in ambiguity, and helping others find a way through it rather than waiting for perfect clarity
Supporting a broader portfolio of work, not just a single project, the kind of role where your fingerprints end up on more than one initiativeWhat We're Looking For

A Business Analyst with real technical range, you understand system integration, APIs and data flows well enough to be dangerous in an architecture conversation (roughly a 60% BA / 40% technical split day to day)
Genuine experience mapping complex product, order or fulfilment lifecycles, not just theoretical process diagrams
Comfort operating in a large, complex organisation where priorities shift and answers aren't always clean
The credibility to build trust with both business stakeholders and technical teams and the confidence to push back on either when needed
Retail, e-commerce, or another sector with genuinely complex, interconnected systems is a strong plusIf this sounds like your kind of role, get in touch and we can talk through the details
