Several Teaching Assistants are required to join a supportive and inclusive Post-16 education setting in Haringey.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, SEN TAs, Learning Support Assistants and Support Workers who are passionate about helping young people develop their confidence, independence and life skills.
The RoleYou will support Post-16 students with additional needs both in and outside the classroom, providing 1:1 and small-group support.
The right candidates will need to be confident providing Personal Care and comfortable supporting students who may display challenging behaviour. You will need to remain calm, patient and consistent while building positive relationships and helping students engage with learning.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting Post-16 students with additional needs
Providing Personal Care when required
Supporting students who display challenging behaviour
Providing 1:1 and small-group learning support
Encouraging independence, communication and social development
Supporting daily routines and life skills
Working closely with teaching and pastoral teams
Following individual support, behaviour and safeguarding plans
Helping create a safe, positive and inclusive environmentWe Are Looking ForThe ideal candidate will be:
An experienced Teaching Assistant, SEN TA, LSA or Support Worker
Confident supporting young people with additional needs
Comfortable providing Personal Care
Experienced or confident in managing challenging behaviour
Calm, patient and resilient
Able to build positive and trusting relationships
Reliable, professional and consistent
Passionate about helping young people achieve greater independenceExperience working with SEN, autism, learning difficulties, complex needs, behaviour or Personal Care would be highly advantageous.
