How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Transformation Projects Manager

Location: Slough, (SL1) Office-based with travel to service locations

    Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm

Contract: Fixed-Term (initially 6 months, with scope for extension)

    Sector: Social Housing

The Opportunity for Transformation Projects Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Transformation Project Manager to support a significant programme of organisational and operational change within a social housing services provider.

Working closely with the General Manager, Senior Leadership Team and key workstream leads, you will bring structure, discipline and momentum to the transformation programme – ensuring plans remain on track, risks are effectively managed and agreed changes are successfully embedded into Business as Usual.

This role would suit a highly organised and delivery-focused Project or Programme professional who is confident managing project plans, programme controls, RAID logs, governance, reporting and multiple workstreams.

Due to the size of the organisation (35 employees), the role requires the post holder to undertake other responsibilities outside the scope of just project management, so we would require a flexible and adaptable individual, who is happy to provide support with some of the additional tasks outlined in the key responsibilities below.

Key Responsibilities for the Transformation Projects Manager

Maintain the integrated transformation plan, milestones and dependencies

Manage RAID logs, action trackers, dashboards and decision records

Monitor delivery across multiple transformation workstreams

Produce accurate and concise programme and governance reporting

Track actions and challenge delays, unclear ownership and programme slippage

Identify and escalate significant risks and delivery issues and look at project contingencies and interventions with stakeholders

Coordinate inputs from senior management, Finance, ICT and operational teams

Quality-check reports, evidence and governance packs

Maintain clear and auditable programme documentation and record minutes at meetings

Support the successful implementation and transition of transformation activity into Business as Usual (BAU)

Ensure reporting demonstrates measurable outcomes rather than simply activity

Research, review and update policies and SOP’s and ensure effective document control

Procure goods/services on behalf of the organisation, through conducting research and analysis and making recommendations to management

Educate and influence internal and external stakeholders involved in project tasks to meet project deliverables and keep projects running smoothly

    About You

We are looking for someone with:

Strong experience within Project Management, Programme Management, Transformation or PMO

Hands-on experience managing project/programme plans, RAID logs, dashboards, milestones and governance packs

Strong knowledge of programme controls, governance and risk management

Excellent planning, organisation and attention to detail

Someone who is very flexible and adaptable to support the projects across a range of tasks

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Confidence to challenge stakeholders and escalate issues where necessary

Ability to work across multiple workstreams and competing priorities

A relevant project/programme/management qualification or equivalent practical experience

Experience within supported housing, social housing, health & social care, public services or another regulated environment would be highly advantageous, but is not essential.

    Why Apply?

This is an excellent opportunity to take a key role in a significant transformation programme where you will have genuine visibility across the organisation and work directly with senior leadership.

If you are an experienced Transformation Project Manager, Programme Manager, Project Manager or PMO professional who enjoys bringing structure, accountability and momentum to complex change programmes, we would like to hear from you.
