How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Key responsibilities

    Artwork creation and adaptation

Follow client brand guidelines precisely and consistently including typography, colour, imagery, logos and mandatory content.
Apply cutter guides, bleeds, print free and other technical production requirements correctly.
Retouch, resize and optimise images where required while maintaining appropriate resolution and quality.
    Pre-press checks and quality control

Prepare and issue accurate proofs for internal and client approval, clearly identifying version status and any points requiring confirmation.
Preflight all artwork before proofing and release to production, checking content, scale, resolution, colour space, fonts and imagery.
Review cutter guides and technical drawings to ensure artwork aligns correctly with the intended construction and visible areas.
Identify artwork, specification or brief discrepancies early and raise potential production issues to the reporting manager.
    Workflow, files and production support

Manage assigned artwork jobs through the studio workflow, prioritising tasks in line with production schedules and agreed deadlines.
Liaise with Client Services, Design, Planning and Production to confirm specifications and resolve any technical queries.
Support Production with artwork-related questions, first-offs and amendments, responding promptly where delivery may be affected.
    Communication, accountability and team support

Take ownership of artwork accuracy and communicate progress, risks and changes promptly to the colleagues affected.
Work from approved briefs and specifications, raising unclear, incomplete or conflicting information before proceeding.
Manage multiple live jobs calmly and accurately, balancing quality with the pace required by manufacturing deadlines.
Share technical knowledge, support colleagues and help maintain consistent artwork standards and working practices.
Build effective relationships across the business and contribute positively to a collaborative, solution-focused culture.

Working Monday to Friday 8am-5pm with a 4pm finish on a Friday
Salary is negotiable, depending on your experience
    Candidate requirements:

Experience in an artwork or pre-press role within print, point-of-sale or retail-display production.

Strong understanding of print-production principles, including colour, resolution and file preparation.
Excellent attention to detail, with a disciplined approach to checking copy and technical specifications.
Good understanding of layout and brand consistency, with the ability to reproduce approved designs accurately and efficiently.
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
Clear written and verbal communication skills and confidence raising technical questions with colleagues at all levels.
Able to work independently, follow approval controls and make sound day-to-day artwork decisions within agreed procedures.
Proactive, flexible and calm under pressure, with a practical and solution-focused approach.
Experience of large-format digital print, working with technical drawings and a variety of materials within a print production environment is desirable
