How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you looking to start or develop your career as a Trainee Surveyor? Do you have an interest in windows, doors, fenestration, construction, or home improvements?

Join our national multi-branded company, where we will support you to build your knowledge, confidence, and technical surveying skills. As a Trainee Surveyor, you will learn how to verify customers’ requirements, take accurate measurements, and prepare information to help ensure successful installations.

This role is ideal for someone who is practical, eager to learn, and interested in developing a career within the home improvement industry. You already have some experience in installing windows and doors, or a similar hands-on role, but full training and guidance will be provided.

    What the role involves

Learning how to arrange technical surveys with customers in line with company targets
Travelling within the region with support from experienced colleagues to complete customer surveys to a high standard
Learning how to take accurate measurements and prepare clear survey information and drawings
Confirming customer requirements and helping ensure they understand the products and designs they have ordered
Working with the wider Anglian team to report any changes or queries following a survey
Inputting survey details onto the survey network and learning how to order materials when required
Supporting the team with any issues or changes, ensuring these are dealt with in a timely and professional manner
    What we need

A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Good customer service and communication skills
An interest in surveying, construction, windows, doors, or home improvements
Some practical experience in a trade, installation, construction, or similar environment
Basic IT skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office
Good organisation skills and the ability to solve problems
    A full driving licence
    What we offer

    Competitive salary
    Company car
Full training and ongoing support to help you develop into a confident surveyor
31 days holiday, increasing to 33 days after 2 years of service, plus your birthday off
Paid time off annually to volunteer
Comprehensive health and wellbeing benefits, including cycle to work scheme, discounted gym memberships, and free access to mental health first aiders
Heavily discounted group discount scheme on all products
Group perks and freebies on days out, cinema, theatre, eating out, mobile phones, a new car, food shopping, and most major high street retailers
The opportunity to work with a forward-thinking and supportive team
Career development and continuous learning opportunities
If you are motivated, keen to learn, and ready to take the next step towards a career in surveying, we would love to hear from you. Join us and be part of a supportive team helping shape the future of home improvements.
