How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electrical Test Engineer 

    Droitwich 

    Permanent Up to £36,000 

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Test Engineer to join a market-leading manufacturing company based in Droitwich. This hands-on role offers the chance to work on complex electrical and control systems, playing a key part in ensuring high-quality equipment is thoroughly tested, commissioned, and ready for customer delivery. 

    Main Duties Electrical Test Engineer

    Carry out comprehensive testing and inspection of equipment within a manufacturing environment
    Connect electrical, water, and mechanical systems to facilitate testing and commissioning activities
    Perform fault finding and diagnostics, including live PLC troubleshooting and problem resolution
    Utilise a range of test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power analysers
    Test and work safely with high-voltage electrical systems
    Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues and improve performance
    Complete accurate testing documentation and quality records
    Approve and sign off equipment prior to customer dispatch
    The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Electrical Test Engineer

    HNC qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
    Strong knowledge of single and three-phase systems, along with high-power electrical circuits
    Previous experience working with live electrical equipment
    A solid understanding of analogue and digital electronics
    Ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings and schematics
    Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
    A meticulous approach with a strong commitment to quality and safety standards
    Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
    Mechanically minded with a practical, hands-on approach
    Flexibility to undertake occasional international travel to meet the needs of the role
