The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and commercially driven Area Sales Manager to drive sales growth across a designated territory.

This is a strategic field sales role focused on identifying and converting opportunities while developing profitable, long-term relationships with new and existing stockists.

Operating on a fully remote basis, this role requires an individual who is highly organised, self-motivated and disciplined, with exceptional time and diary management skills.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

* Selling into Builders’ Merchants, Specialist Distributors, Roofing Merchants, Electrical Wholesale and similar customers

* Create strong account relationships, recognising opportunities and maximising potential

* Identify new products and market gaps

* Account and product evaluation with key accounts

* Generating bespoke product profiles

* Generating structured business plans and driving them forward

* Negotiating and applying new discounts on new and existing ranges

* Promoting web ordering

* Merchandising and training when required

* Attending various trade show & exhibitions

* Ensuring the CRM software is used to its highest potential and all notes and contact information is up to date at all times

Skills and Knowledge Required:

* Previous sales experience with a proven track record is essential

* Confident & outgoing personality

* High level of communication skills

* Excellent negotiation skills & commercial awareness of opportunities

* Good IT skills with high competency in Microsoft Office

* Ability to work as part of a team and assist colleagues when required
