How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    CNC Miller Programmer

    Location: Aldershot
    Job Type: Permanent | Days Only
    Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 DOE
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm (Flexible Start & Finish Times)

    Are you an experienced CNC Programmer looking for a stable, days-based role with flexibility and the opportunity to make a real impact?

    Our client is a highly respected subcontract precision engineering company with over 45 years of industry success. Thanks to continued growth and a strong order book, they are looking to add an experienced CNC Miller Programmer to their skilled manufacturing team.

    The Role

    You'll be responsible for creating and optimising CNC programs for 3 & 4-axis Hurco machining centres using OneCNC CAD/CAM software, ensuring efficient production, exceptional quality, and reduced cycle times.

    Key Responsibilities

    Create and optimise CNC programs using OneCNC for 3 & 4-axis Hurco CNC machines.

    Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications to produce accurate machining programs.

    Develop efficient tooling and machining strategies for a range of materials.

    Work closely with machinists to improve program performance, maximise productivity, and reduce cycle times.

    Troubleshoot and refine existing programs to improve quality and minimise waste.

    Ensure all machining processes meet quality, safety, and engineering standards.

    What We're Looking For

    Proven experience as a CNC CAD/CAM Programmer.

    Experience with OneCNC is highly desirable.

    Strong understanding of CNC milling and machining processes.

    Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.

    Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

    A proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and within a close-knit team.
