The successful Transport Supervisor should have:
Demonstrable experience in a transport, logistics or fleet supervisory role
Strong knowledge of transport regulations, vehicle compliance and route planning
Proven experience managing and motivating drivers or transport teams
Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills
A full, clean UK driving licence; HGV/CPC qualifications would be advantageous
In this role, the Transport Supervisor will be responsible for:
Overseeing daily vehicle scheduling and route planning to maximise fleet efficiency
Managing in-house drivers and subcontracted transport providers, ensuring safety and compliance
Coordinating deliveries and collections of specialist equipment and associated products
Overseeing vehicle servicing, maintenance, inspections and driver compliance
Monitoring transport KPIs, costs and performance, identifying opportunities for operational improvement
Our client is offering the successful Transport Supervisor a salary in the region of £35,000 - £40,000, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, alongside the opportunity to join a well-established and growing organisation.
