How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We're currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Manager to join a leading public sector organisation within its Corporate Services procurement function. Working on complex, high-value service procurements, you'll be responsible for developing procurement strategies, leading tender processes, engaging key stakeholders, and supporting governance approvals.

    Description

    Key responsibilities for the Interim Commercial Manager include:
    Lead and deliver end-to-end pre-contract procurement activities.
    Develop procurement strategies and routes to market.
    Produce and manage tender documentation and evaluation processes.
    Draft high-quality governance papers and secure internal approvals.
    Engage with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and objectives.
    Analyse market intelligence and procurement data to develop innovative sourcing options.
    Support procurement projects from initiation through to contract award.
    Ensure compliance with public sector procurement regulations and organisational governance requirements.

    Profile

    A successful Interim Commercial Manager should have:

    Proven public sector procurement experience.
    Strong expertise inpre-contract procurement, including:
    Procurement strategy development
    Tendering and sourcing activities
    Supplier evaluation and award processes
    Experience drafting governance and approval papers for senior decision-making forums.
    Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
    Strong analytical skills with the ability to use market insight and data to inform sourcing decisions.
    Experience managing multiple procurement projects in a fast-paced environment.

    Job Offer

    Daily rate of £530 per day inside IR35.
    Hybrid working pattern (2 days per week in London).
    Based in North Greenwich.
    6 months contract with potential for extension.
