How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Regional Manager North West

    Manchester & Surrounding Areas

    Permanent | Full-time | Field-based | MondayFriday | 40 hours per week

    V3 Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an experienced Regional Manager / B2B Account Manager to join a growing and commercially focused business.

    This is a field-based regional sales role covering Manchester and the surrounding areas, and we are looking for someone who can do much more than simply manage existing accounts.

    You will need to be a relationship builder, account developer and, importantly, a hunter someone who enjoys identifying new opportunities, opening doors, winning new business and growing existing customer relationships.

    If you are commercially driven, confident dealing with senior decision makers and thrive on being out in front of customers, this could be an excellent opportunity.

    The Role

    As Regional Manager, you will take responsibility for developing and growing customer relationships across the North West, with a particular focus on Manchester and the surrounding areas.

    You will work closely with existing customers to understand their business, identify opportunities to increase spend and develop long-term partnerships. At the same time, you will be expected to actively identify and pursue new business opportunities across the region.

    This is a highly visible, customer-facing position, with approximately 80% of your time spent on the road meeting customers and prospects at their offices, depots and operational sites.

    You will be engaging with decision makers across procurement, operations, H&S, site management and senior leadership, so the ability to communicate confidently at all levels is essential.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage, develop and grow a portfolio of B2B customers across the North West.
    Build strong, long-term relationships with key decision makers and senior stakeholders.
    Identify opportunities to increase customer spend through upselling and cross-selling.
    Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within your territory.
    Develop existing accounts while continually looking for new customers and revenue streams.
    Arrange and conduct regular face-to-face customer meetings and business reviews.
    Visit customer sites, depots and head offices to understand their requirements and identify opportunities.
    Develop strategic account plans focused on retention, growth and new opportunities.
    Carry out customer needs assessments, site visits and audits where appropriate.
    Deliver engaging presentations, product demonstrations and commercial proposals.
    Identify gaps in customer spend and introduce additional products and services where there is a genuine business need.
    Keep up to date with market trends, customer requirements and competitor activity.
    Work closely with internal teams to ensure a joined-up customer experience.
    Maintain accurate CRM records, including meetings, opportunities, actions and pipeline activity.
    Manage your territory effectively, planning your diary to maximise customer and prospect engagement.
    Build a strong pipeline of new business and take opportunities through to successful conversion.
    Represent the business professionally at all times.
    What We're Looking For

    We are particularly interested in candidates who have a strong background in B2B account management and regional sales, but who also have a genuine new business/hunter mentality.

    You will ideally have:

    At least 2 years' experience in B2B account management, field sales or regional sales.
    A proven track record of growing existing customer accounts.
    Demonstrable experience of winning new business.
    A genuine hunter mentality you enjoy prospecting, opening doors and creating opportunities rather than waiting for them to come to you.
    Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify where additional revenue can be generated.
    Experience building relationships with decision makers at different levels of an organisation.
    Excellent face-to-face communication and presentation skills.
    Confidence dealing with procurement, operations, H&S, site managers and senior stakeholders.
    Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
    Experience using CRM systems and managing a sales pipeline.
    Excellent organisation and territory management skills.
    The motivation and resilience to work in a competitive sales environment.
    A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively throughout the North West.
