How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Role - Maths Teaching Assistant

    A welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in the London Borough of Enfield is seeking to appoint a dedicated Maths Teaching Assistant to join its support team on a long-term basis starting ASAP.

    As the successful Maths Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students across KS3 and KS4, providing classroom, small-group and one-to-one support. A key part of the role will involve supporting students with their Maths learning, helping them to understand the curriculum, complete classwork and build their confidence within the subject.

    You will also support students with their behaviour, helping them to remain focused, engaged and positively involved in lessons. You will work closely with the Maths department and wider pastoral team to ensure students receive the appropriate academic and behavioural support.

    Previous experience working within education is desirable, along with experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs. Experience supporting students with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH or other additional needs would be advantageous.

    The successful candidate will be patient, resilient, proactive and confident in building positive relationships with young people. Strong communication skills and an ability to support both learning and behaviour are essential.
