How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Client:

Our client is an international leader in industrial process design, fabrication, piping, and construction management. Operating across high-specification sectors such as nuclear, energy, pharmaceuticals, and heavy industry, they are renowned for delivering complex, high-integrity mechanical and piping systems.

They foster an environment built on operational satisfaction, strict quality assurance, and continuous improvement, driving a strong Nuclear Safety Culture and technical excellence across all project delivery centres.

    About the Opportunity:

Based out of Bristol with travel across UK manufacturing and construction sites (including Hinkley Point C and Deeside), the Project Quality Manager will support the Senior Project Quality Manager and Business Unit Quality Manager in establishing and executing project quality assurance frameworks.

In this pivotal role, you will lead quality governance, champion a "Right First Time" delivery mindset, drive protection against Counterfeit, Fraudulent, and Suspect Items (CFSI), and act as the key quality interface between manufacturing teams, suppliers, and the main client.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Quality Assurance, Governance & Standards

Project Frameworks: Develop, review, and maintain robust project quality processes to ensure all fabrication and installation scopes strictly comply with contractual standards.

Nuclear Safety Culture: Embed Nuclear Safety Culture behaviours, leading dedicated training sessions covering Nuclear Culture, CFSI, and compliance principles.

Client Interface: Act as the main point of contact for the client on defined project quality topics, providing regular feedback, performance metrics, and reporting.

CFSI Protection & Supply Chain Oversight

CFSI Safeguarding: Proactively detect and prevent CFSI entry into the supply chain, conducting surveillance to ensure raw materials and components are fully compliant and free from non-conformances.

Supplier Management: Support the approval, auditing, and performance review of the Approved Suppliers List, travelling to supplier sites for regular quality and capacity reviews.

Manufacturing & Site Support: Work alongside manufacturing and installation leads to resolve complex technical issues, optimize process efficiency, and manage NDT, dimensional, and fabrication quality records.

    Operational Excellence & Reporting

Performance Analytics: Track project performance against key metrics (Safety First, On Time, On Spec, On Budget, Customer Satisfaction), analyzing data to drive continuous improvement.

Process Optimization: Apply Lean methodologies to resolve quality issues, streamline delivery centre procedures, and enhance overall operational quality.

    Candidate Profile:

    Requirements & Experience

Quality Program Implementation: Extensive work experience implementing quality assurance programs within complex manufacturing, mechanical fabrication, or construction environments.

Continuous Improvement: Proven track record of applying Lean Manufacturing methodologies and fact-based problem-solving techniques.

Standards Expertise: Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 19443 (quality management for the nuclear supply chain), alongside welding and NDT standards.

Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) for data manipulation, KPI tracking, and report preparation.

Mobility: Willingness to travel to manufacturing sites, project locations, and suppliers across the UK.

    Desirable Qualifications & Skills

Education: Minimum HNC (or equivalent) in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline.

Nuclear Standards: Working knowledge of Nuclear New Build requirements, RCC-M codes, and modern welding procedures.

Language Skills: Fluency in French (written and verbal) is highly advantageous alongside fluent English.

    Key Competencies

Interrogative Mindset: Exceptional attention to detail with an investigative approach to safety, CFSI detection, and quality compliance.

Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing cross-functional delivery teams, sub-contractors, and client representatives
