How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Mental Health Therapeutic Support Worker – Bank Shifts

    Tezlom Healthcare Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced Mental Health Therapeutic Support Workers to join our team and cover bank shifts at a mental health crisis support service in Kensington & Chelsea

    This service provides a safe, welcoming and inclusive space for residents aged 16+ who are experiencing a mental health crisis or struggling to cope with their mental health and daily life

    As a Mental Health Therapeutic Support Worker, you will play an important role in providing emotional support, reassurance and practical guidance to individuals during periods of crisis

    Kensington and Chelsea

    Mental Health Therapeutic Support Worker

    🕐 Shift Pattern

    Monday – Sunday | 2pm – 10pm

    💰 Pay Rate

    £13.20 per hour

    📋 Job Type

    Ongoing Temporary / Bank Shifts

    The Role

    You will support service users by providing:

    * A safe, welcoming environment and a listening ear

    * One-to-one emotional support, advice and guidance

    * Support with developing individual safety plans and longer-term recovery plans

    * Assistance in accessing appropriate local services and community support

    * Support during periods of anxiety, distress or mental health crisis

    * Practical support such as providing hot drinks and snacks

    * Support with the delivery of drop-in crisis support

    * Encouragement and support to engage with activities and services

    Group Activities

    You may also be involved in supporting group activities such as:

    * Arts and crafts

    * Emotional wellbeing workshops

    * Hang Out Groups

    * Other wellbeing and therapeutic activities

    What We Are Looking For

    Essential:

    * Previous experience working in Mental Health Support Work

    * Experience supporting adults or young people experiencing mental health difficulties

    * Good communication and interpersonal skills

    * Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations

    * Good IT skills, including experience using databases and Microsoft applications

    * Ability to work effectively as part of a team

    * Availability to work 2pm – 10pm shifts

    * Ideally based locally or within easy travelling distance of Harrow

    Desirable:

    * Background in Psychology or Mental Health Services

    * Experience working within crisis support, helplines, supported living or similar services

    * Currently studying or having completed a degree in a mental health-related subject
