How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Salary: Starting from £14 per hour

    Operating Hours:

    Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 8:45 am to 5:30 pm
    Tuesday: 8:45 am to 7:00 pm
    Thursday: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
    Saturday: By appointment only (Half Day)

    Location: Accessible by local public transport from surrounding areas of South London and Surrey.

    What You Will Be Doing:

    Your day-to-day duties will include:

    Welcoming patients and helping them feel comfortable throughout their visit
    Setting up surgeries and ensuring equipment and materials are prepared
    Supporting clinicians throughout patient treatments and procedures
    Assisting with the efficient running of appointments and clinical sessions
    Supporting accurate clinical records and patient information
    Cleaning, decontaminating and sterilising instruments in line with infection control procedures
    Following practice procedures, health and safety requirements and professional standards
    Helping maintain a clean, safe and organised clinical environment
    Working closely with the wider dental and reception teamLearning and Development:

    This position is designed to give you valuable practical experience while you develop as a Dental Nurse.

    You will have the opportunity to gain experience across general and preventative dentistry as well as areas such as cosmetic treatments, restorative dentistry, dental implants and Invisalign.

    You will receive guidance and support throughout your training, helping you put what you learn during your qualification into practice and develop the skills required for your future career.

    Previous dental experience is not essential. We are looking for someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

    The ideal candidate will be:

    Enrolled on, or prepared to enrol on, an approved Dental Nursing qualification
    Keen to learn and develop within dentistry
    Friendly, approachable and confident communicating with patients
    Comfortable working as part of a busy team
    Reliable, professional and organised
    Able to use basic computer systems
    Hepatitis B vaccinated or willing to begin the required immunisation programme
