As Engineering Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of engineers, ensuring maintenance and engineering activities are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
The Pay
Up to £56,500 per year depending on experaince
The Shifts
4 on 4 off (Days and Nights) 12 hour shifts.
The Role
* Lead, motivate and manage a team of engineering and maintenance personnel.
* Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities.
* Ensure equipment and machinery remain operational and reliable.
* Allocate engineering tasks and monitor progress to ensure work is completed effectively.
* Provide technical support and guidance to the engineering team.
* Promote a strong culture of health & safety across the engineering function.
* Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency and performance.
* Support fault-finding and breakdown resolution.
* Assist with planned maintenance, continuous improvement and engineering projects.
* Ensure engineering records, maintenance schedules and relevant documentation are maintained.
* Work closely with production and other departments to minimise downtime.
* Coach and develop members of the engineering team.
The Person
The successful Engineering Team Leader will ideally have:
* Previous experience in an Engineering Team Leader, Engineering Supervisor, Senior Engineer or similar position.
* A strong engineering background, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment.
* Recognised engineering qualifications (HNC/HND/City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent).
* Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge (multi skilled).
* Experience leading or supervising an engineering team.
* Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
* A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.
* Good communication and organisational skills.
* A strong understanding of health & safety requirements.
* The ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise workloads.
