An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a growing organisation and take ownership of a portfolio of internal business change, operational improvement and systems-based projects.
Rather than stepping into a perfectly polished PMO environment with every process already in place, you'll have the opportunity to bring your experience, introduce structure and help shape how projects are managed across the wider business.
You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and teams across the organisation, taking projects from initial idea and planning right through to successful delivery.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead internal business change, transformation and operational improvement projects from initiation to completion
Define project scope, objectives, timelines, deliverables and success measures
Develop and maintain effective project plans, governance and reporting
Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and change throughout delivery
Work closely with senior stakeholders, department heads and cross-functional teams
Influence and challenge stakeholders where required to keep projects moving
Provide clear and proactive project updates to senior leadership
Coordinate project teams and workstreams across multiple functions
Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and operational efficiency
Introduce greater structure and consistency to project delivery
Help develop and embed project management best practice across the organisation
Manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-moving environment
Adapt priorities and resources as business requirements evolve
Travel between business locations as requiredWhat They're Looking For:
They're looking for an experienced Project Manager / Senior Project Manager with a genuine track record of delivering change and improvement - not simply managing a project plan.
You'll ideally bring:
Proven experience delivering internal business change, transformation or operational improvement projects
Strong stakeholder management skills, including the confidence to influence senior stakeholders
Experience establishing project governance, reporting, risk management and project controls
Excellent planning, organisational and prioritisation skills
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
The ability to work effectively across different departments and functions
A pragmatic, hands-on approach to project delivery
The confidence to operate in an environment where processes and governance are still developing
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skillsExperience within logistics, warehousing, fulfilment, supply chain or wider operational environments would be highly advantageous.
The role can be based from either:
East Grinstead, West Sussex or Northampton
There is flexibility around your base location, however regular travel to other business locations will be required.
