How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Your new role:
    A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Part Time Credit Controller / Finance Assistant to join the finance team on a maternity cover contract expected to last around nine months.This is a varied and hands on position offering exposure across credit control, accounts receivable, billing, banking, and general finance administration. Working closely with Project Managers and senior stakeholders across the business, you will play a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow while helping to ensure the smooth day to day running of the finance function.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    Managing project set up and amendments within Timemaster
    Processing work in progress and billing for multiple Project Managers
    Raising and issuing client invoices
    Managing the sales ledger and credit control process
    Proactively chasing outstanding debt and reducing aged receivables
    Producing monthly debtor reports and facilitating debtor review meetings
    Resolving customer account queries and building strong customer relationships
    Supporting customer account set up and maintenance
    Completing daily bank reconciliations within Xero
    Managing the accounts inbox and ensuring queries are dealt with efficiently
    Supporting the wider business with office administration duties and acting as a first point of contact for visitors and incoming callsThis role would suit someone who enjoys a broad position where no two days are the same and who takes pride in building relationships while maintaining strong financial controls.

    What you'll need to succeed:

    Previous experience within credit control, accounts receivable or a finance assistant position
    Strong communication and relationship building skills
    Confidence managing collections activity and customer queries
    Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload effectively
    Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
    Intermediate Excel skills and strong Microsoft Office knowledge
    Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment
    Experience using Xero would be advantageous but is not essential as training can be provided
    A flexible and adaptable approach with a willingness to support the wider business where requiredWhat you'll get in return:
