How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, commercially driven and experienced Business Development professional to play a key role in the growth of our Education Division.

With a focus on developing new client relationships and growing our presence within the education sector, you will work closely with our Head of Supply / Education Director and Education recruitment team to support the development of our same-day cover offering and wider education recruitment services.

Initially focusing on the Manchester area, you will have the opportunity to build a strong client base, develop long-term relationships and play an important role in the continued growth of the division and KPI Recruiting as a whole.

KPI Recruiting is a rapidly growing recruitment agency that prides itself on delivering exceptional recruitment solutions to our clients. With a focus on quality, innovation and client satisfaction, we have become a trusted partner across a range of specialist recruitment sectors.

Our Education Division is an exciting and growing area of the business, and this role offers the opportunity to make a real impact as we continue to develop our presence within the sector.

    What does the role involve?

Generating new business opportunities within the Education sector.
Building and managing a strong pipeline of prospective schools, academies, Multi-Academy Trusts and other education providers.
Identifying and engaging with key decision-makers, including Headteachers, School Business Managers, HR teams and Trust leaders.
Developing strong, long-lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with new and existing clients.
Understanding the individual staffing challenges of education providers and delivering tailored recruitment solutions.
Supporting the growth of KPI Recruiting’s same-day and short-term supply cover offering.
Promoting our wider education recruitment services across temporary, long-term and permanent staffing requirements.
Working closely with the Head of Supply and recruitment team to develop effective business development strategies.
Attending client meetings and delivering professional and persuasive presentations.
Negotiating terms of business and service agreements while maintaining a strong focus on both profitability and client satisfaction.
Keeping up to date with developments, staffing challenges and recruitment trends within the education sector.
Identifying new market opportunities and supporting the continued growth of KPI Recruiting’s Education Division.
Working closely with internal recruitment and operational teams to ensure a professional and seamless handover of new business wins.
Ensuring client expectations are understood and exceeded throughout the recruitment process.
Meeting and exceeding agreed sales targets, KPIs and revenue objectives.
Maintaining accurate records of sales activity and managing your pipeline effectively.
Supporting education-focused marketing campaigns, networking activity and social media initiatives.
Actively promoting KPI Recruiting and the Education Division through your personal network, industry events and client activity.

What we would like to see from you?

A full UK driving licence is required.
Proven experience in business development, sales or recruitment, ideally within the Education sector.
A strong track record of winning new business and developing long-term client relationships.
Experience working with schools, academies, Multi-Academy Trusts or other education providers would be highly advantageous.
Previous experience within Education Recruitment would be beneficial but is not essential for the right commercially driven individual.
Experience and understanding of temporary recruitment, supply staffing or same-day cover would be advantageous.
    Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
    Strong sales and negotiation skills.
A commercially focused and results-oriented mindset, with a drive to achieve and surpass targets.
The ability to identify opportunities and develop effective business development strategies.
    Strong networking and presentation skills.
A proactive, self-motivated and resilient approach.
The ability to manage your own time, priorities and sales pipeline effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment.
A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with recruitment and operational teams.
A positive attitude, high levels of energy and enthusiasm, and a good sense of humour!

    Why work for KPI Recruiting?

A key role within an exciting and growing Education Division.
The opportunity to play a significant part in developing our presence within the Education sector.
The autonomy to build your own client pipeline and develop new business opportunities.
Clear routes for progression and future opportunities across the business.
A friendly and welcoming team environment.
25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and one day off for your birthday!
    Pension scheme.
    Team outings and events.
