Due to continued growth and an exciting period of change, we are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function and play a key role in supporting the business's future success.

The Opportunity
As Finance Manager, you will lead the day-to-day finance operation, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and insightful analysis across the business. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, you will also take responsibility for developing a small finance team and driving improvements across systems and processes.
This role offers genuine scope to influence strategic decisions and contribute to a significant period of organisational development.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Controls
Lead monthly and annual financial close processes
Produce accurate and timely management accounts, P&L reports, and balance sheet reconciliations
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and reporting requirements
Maintain strong financial controls, policies, and procedures
Support audit preparation and ongoing financial governance
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
Take ownership of credit control performance
Manage relationships with finance and funding providers
Monitor and improve working capital performance
Oversee cash flow forecasting and reporting
Support effective management of receivables, payables, and inventory controls
Budgeting, Forecasting & Commercial Analysis
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and business plans
Deliver meaningful financial analysis to support commercial and operational decision-making
Identify opportunities for cost control, profitability improvement, and business growth
Monitor financial performance against budget and provide actionable recommendations
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives
Support a planned finance system migration project
Partner with operational, sales, and purchasing teams to provide financial guidance and insight
Promote best practice across the finance function
About You
To be successful in this position, you will ideally possess:
Fully qualified accountant status (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
A minimum of five years' post-qualification experience
Experience within manufacturing, distribution, engineering, or similar sectors
Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience
Proven ability to manage cash flow and working capital effectively
Previous team leadership experience
Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and lookup functions
Experience with accounting and ERP systems
A track record of implementing process improvements and driving efficiencies
